The KOSINO Thermal Waters health and recreation complex is located on a mineral thermal water plume that stretches across part of the territory of such European countries as France, Italy, Spain, Serbia, Croatia, Austria, Switzerland and the Balkan Peninsula. In Ukraine, this plume covers most of the Transcarpathian region, namely Vynohradiv and Berehove districts.

The resort’s healing water rises from one of the three currently operating wells in Zakarpattia, called 16 T. Back in the 80s of the last century, it was accidentally discovered by Soviet geologists looking for oil fields. The hot geyser of thermal water comes from a well 1190 meters underground and enters a thermal pool with a temperature of 40-45°C.

Each of the world’s thermal water sources has a special composition and temperature: from low-mineral-rich warm to too hot and concentrated for the human body. The KOSINO spring is optimal in terms of chemical composition and water temperature at the outlet of the well.

The thermal water of the KOSINO spring has a general health-improving effect on the body, filling it with substances and microelements necessary for normal functioning:

  • iron, which is contained in red blood cells and carries oxygen to the cells;
  • calcium, which is the main building material of bones;
  • potassium and sodium, which are necessary for muscle contraction, including the heart muscle;
  • zinc, which is necessary for the synthesis of vitamin E in the body, and therefore affects the condition of the skin, hair, nails; responsible for male sexual function;
  • chlorine, which is responsible for the normal functioning of the nervous system;
  • selenium, which is used for the formation of thyroid hormones;
  • chromium, which is necessary for regulation of carbohydrate metabolism, normalization of blood sugar level;
  • copper, which is a bactericidal element and stops inflammatory processes in the body;
  • vanadium, which slows down the synthesis of cholesterol in the body;
  • magnesium, which is necessary for protein synthesis, is important in the functioning of the nervous and cardiovascular systems; promotes the excretion of cholesterol from the body.

The beneficial properties of this thermal water have been determined by the specialists of the Ukrainian Research Institute of Medical Rehabilitation and Balneology of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine. According to the balneological conclusion No. 99 dated December 12, 2006, the thermal waters of the Kosynske deposit are intended for external use in the following diseases

  • musculoskeletal system: osteoarthritis, osteochondrosis, arthritis, polyarthritis, consequences of joint fractures, postoperative condition, diseases of joint tissues;
  • diseases of the cardiovascular system: hypertension of I-II stage, with circulatory disorders not higher than I stage, post-myocardial cardiosclerosis with circulatory disorders not higher than I stage peripheral nervous system: injuries of nervous limbs and plexuses, diseases of the nervous system, sciatica, polyradiculoneuritis;
  • peripheral vessels: atherosclerosis of limb vessels, endarteritis with circulatory disorders of the lower extremities of I-II degree, acroangioneurosis, varicose veins;
  • biliary system: chronic stone-free cholecystitis, biliary dyskinesia, condition after cholecystectomy.

The recommended time in the pool is 15-20 minutes. 3 times a day.

Contraindications: diseases in a state of exacerbation.
